Keep Your Lips Sealed - Lipstick

Hey, it’s been a while I know ! Life has been pretty busy, but I still managed to find some time to play… but less to create CC. But here is something I’ve been using a lot lately, so why not sharing it with you :)

This is a simple matte lipstick, that comes in 25 colors. It’s partly based on textures by my @simsontherope of a brother, and like it is said in the preview picture, you can combine them with his natural lips, the ones set as face paint to create interesting effects, like softer colors or lip contouring (I use it a lot for older women)

April 16′ Update : I added 10 new matte colors, plus 15 new glossy colors that show up as a separate item.

It’s enabled for all ages and for both male and female, as a result, it’s not available for random. I hope you’ll like it !

Lots of lots🌴⛪🚌

My lastest updates on the gallery, for Oasis Springs, Cooperdale and Sulani (…and 1 for Britechester)

Hello to all! For the last months, I create quite some lots, not for one world this tame, but to fill some corners of many worlds. I had quite some fun building vehicles (boats, caravans, buses, etc.) and original concepts (a motel, an abandoned business, a church turned into a pub…).

  • All those lots are in the gallery under my EA ID: Down-In-Simsland 😊
  • I added the original lot name, the world and the neighborhoods in their description to help you place them properly.
  • I won’t share the Tray files: if I ever find a bug and need to update, it’s easier for me to have the terrains in one place, I apologize.
  • They are all fully playable, this has been thoroughly tested.
  • These terrains do not use CC, and I used all the expansions and packs currently available (the more simple lots might not require them all!).
  • For some of them, as they were created before the cellings update, you might want to change them. If you do so, I recommand you grabing the Better Build/Buy mod by TwistedMexi and activate the Deletion Protection before doing it, in order to avoid objects from being deleted.

I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did when building them! 😁

I was very interested in this new feature introduced in Growing Together, so I went to explore the game files to find out more about how it works, including the new Sim Characteristics preferences. And I found quite a few interesting things:

  • It’s not only the traits that are explicitly mentioned in the description that are taken into account, but also the aspiration related traits (Gregarious, Quick Learner…), liked activities, and even Snowy Escape Lifestyles.
  • The positive traits in relation to the Characteristic preference all have a high impact on compatibility (all at the same level, while some are certainly more secondary).
  • Negative traits in relation to the Characteristic preference have a low impact (3x lower) than negative traits.
  • Some traits are not used at all (Loyal, Squamish, Foodie, Glutton…), that’s also the case for some lifestyles.
  • Some Characterics preferences have a lot related traits, other only a few.

That’s why I worked on a small mod to balance that better, include more traits & lifestyles, give relative importance to some of the traits and amplify the negative impact of other traits, and I also added the Character Value traits from Parenthood as I love playing with those. I tried to give more diversity and I based my decisions on the initial descriptions of the Sim Characteristics preferences.

I haven’t been able to test the mod for people who don’t have the packs used, but as Lifestyle were already included, and as it’s very specific resources that are modified, I’m not worried about that (and it shouldn’t require updates in a while, only if new traits are added)

Hello !

I made a small update of this mod to include the new traits, Horse Lover and Rancher (and I found out that EA didn’t even bother to do it, so I guess it’s a nice thing that I created this mod 😊)

Sims Sessions - Henford edition 🦚 54 Sims in one panoramic picture (full picture below!)

At the Sims Sessions festival, the band Peacock in a Hat performed to a small audience, in a sweet festive atmosphere, although it disrupted the calm of the peaceful countryside!

For the curious, I’ll give you a little breakdown on how I proceed:

  • Create the set and use CTRL + 5-9 to save the views. To make it clean, I started with the central view, then with CRTL + Q/D (on a French keyboard, maybe it’s A/D on a Qwerty keyboard) I rotated the camera (it has to be by rotation and not by movement) and saved two views on each side
  • Place for each sims to place a Teleport Any Sims to be able to teleport the desired sims. When I prepared my photo, I noted for each sim the pose I was going to use and how to place it (for example, for couple poses, two statues must be on the same tile)
  • Use the Teleport Any Sims to summon each character, then use the Pose Player to make them take the desired pose. For small adjustments, you can use the TOOL on the Sims to move them slightly!
  • Take a picture of each view, then with Photoshop, using the Photomerge function, with a spherical layout and loading the 5 pictures, I made the collage. After that, I just have to do some light retouching and it’s done!

As I run out of lots to build, I’m trying to add some points of interest in Tartosa and Henford 😃

Thanks to TwistedMexi’s TOOL, I started adding new activities for my sims outside lots (and not pictured here, but a lot of small details everywhere!)

I even had to mod the SimSessions stage to make it functionnal, but it’s usable! 🎸

And to my surprise, the last time I loaded Henford, my Sims were tending the small communal garden! 🌱

Last week I shared many of lots with you (you can review that here), and today I wanted to introduce you to the families that live in them. I thought it might be interesting to learn about their inhabitants, as I had taken the time to work on them to reflect their personalities and stories.


These Sims have a long history for me, most of them were created for the first time 7 years ago 😃 (some of them are even characters that have been with me since older versions of The Sims, the prize going to Sophie and Sylvia, that I played in The Sims 1! 🏆) Recently, since I removed the CC from my game, I had to spend some time reworking on them.


So don’t hesitate to click to see the rest of the publication, and to tell me what you think about it!

Henford-on-Bagley & Tartosa recreation

21 new lots - 15 residential, 6 community lots

Hello to all! I’ve been working for a few weeks now on creating homes for the different families in my game. I’ve decided to use the Henford and Tartosa neighbourhoods to house them all! I’ve designed many lots and I’d like to share them with you today 🤗

  • All those lots are in the gallery under my EA ID: Down-In-Simsland 😊 
  • They have been uploaded in order, at the time of writing this post1 line = 1 part of a neighbourhood. The map above will help you place them.

Thrift Shopping - Tons of recolors of Maxis stuff

Long time no see ! A lot happened to me recently : my computer died, I got accepted for the job I really wanted, I got a new computer, and now I’m looking for a new place to live :) And I also hit the 1000 followers cap, so in order to thank you all, I wanted to give you a nice gift.

Since I started creating stuff, I’m used to create new recolors for stuff when I don’t find the thing I want in-game. And I thought it could be a great thing to share them with you. I finished some projects I had, ticked some boxes, adjusted some specular/bump maps when it was necessary and tadaaa it’s ready !

It’s only recolors : even if sometimes I made some adjustements that required more than a recolor, they still appear under the catalog entry the outfit is based from. I didn’t count them, but the set must include more than 130 items (everything should be pictured exept all the colors for the nail polish and the soft blush). Everything should be base game compatible ;)
